After a long difficult tournamennt. Fabiano Caruana managed to win the US chess championship 2022!

In this article we are going to discuss an overview of Fabiano Caruana, How he dealt with cheating rumors and his comments on The Hans Neimman Contraversy!

Overview of the chess us championship atmosphere :

Before the tournament, the tension in the chess world was at its peak. Hans Neimman was accused of cheating officially by Carlsen Without a hard proof.

Some grandmasters analyized Hans Niemman’s games and they found that sometimes he plays with perfect accuracy some illogical moves that he doesn’t fully understand. That is not a proof of anything though..!

Fabiano commented that Hans disrespected many top chess grandmasters and wrote a tweet about that calling the 2022 US chess championship the “disresepct championship!”

First round, what happened?

On the first round, the fight started very hot with Both Neiman and Savian winning their first round. However, Hans game was far from perfect.

in the first round due to these cheating allegation, His opponent started playing a weak opening just to get out of computer analysis if they exist!

On the other hand, Fabiano drawed his game against GM Dominguez after getting a worse position in the middle game. GM Caruana managed to balance the game out in the endgame gaining a very hard draw in a close to lost position!

Fabiano Achieved his first win in round three. Things started to look well for him with his play improving round after the other.

Caruana showed an outstanding positional play and a perfect endgame technique in spite of few mistakes and missed opportunities here and there. Caruana managed to win the third round.

Caruana followed up winning Round 4 with black pieces against Niemman himself!.After this win, Caruana gained a huge confidence after this win as it felt like he won versus a computer engine!.

The game against Niemman was a very close one . However, Hans made a couple of inaccuracies which lead to a favoriable position for caruana. With his large endgame experience , Caruana managed to win the endgame.

Caruana followed up with an amazing performance in every single round after round 4. Caruana managed to win or draw vs the top chess grandmasters of the USA winning the US championship for 2022 with 0.5 lead

GM Sevian is an extremely talented and super aggressive grandmaster. He is known for his insane attacking style since he was 8 and he has proven that he can destroy any grandmaster at any level when he gets the attacking chances!

In this game, Caruana absorbed all white attacking potential and forced him into an endgame which would be an advantage for Caruana.

He followed up with ana amazing endgame play and in few moves. Black ended up with a rook endgame where he is a pawn up. White had to settle for a draw in this position!

In a way, it was also proven that Perhaps Hans nemman is not cheating over the board. His games were flawed and he had his ups and downs.It was the perfect end for the disrespect us chess championship!
